Key Duties:
- To fully grasp new features and bug fixes, actively participate in design reviews and story refinement sessions.
- Make thorough test cases and test plans.
- Create and manage manual and automated tests, as well as automation frameworks.
- Participate in preserving and enhancing the continuous testing methodology.
- Perform a root cause analysis of problems or take part in one to identify the first steps toward fixing them.
- Work together with one or two other quality engineers to share accountability for a customer-facing application’s successful testing, making sure that it is completed on time.
- Update stakeholders on release preparedness, making sure to clearly convey risk assessments.
- Learn new technologies fast and adjust to them as needed.
- Test and development tool repositories should be kept up to date.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Core Skills
- Proficiency in designing and coding complex test cases and contributing to frameworks that streamline test development and automation.
- Ability to write comprehensive test plans for features and provide accurate time estimates for task completion.
- Capability to identify potential risks in test development for assigned features and implement mitigation strategies.
- Hands-on experience with automated API testing using frameworks like pytest.
- Expertise in automation testing with Python.
- UI testing experience with tools such as Selenium.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Proficiency in source code control systems, with a preference for Git.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Proficiency:
- Knowledge with Linux, OpenShift, and Kubernetes environments.
- practical understanding of CI/CD pipelines; Jenkins experience is preferred.
- exposure to cloud computing platforms like GCP, AWS, and Azure.
- experience testing GUIs with programs like Playwright or Cypress.
- familiarity with containerization technologies, such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, or Containers.
- knowledge of bug-tracking programs such as Jira or Bugzilla.
