Key Responsibilities:
- One of the main duties is to have a thorough understanding of Oracle Database Architecture.
- Exhibit familiarity with RMAN (Recovery Manager) and export/import processes.
- competent in handling restoration and hot and cold backup duties.
- knowledgeable about database migrations, updates, and patching.
- competent in optimizing database processes through performance tuning.
- strong SQL skills for managing and querying databases.
- able to set up databases for optimal performance and carry out capacity planning.
- adept at using Linux/Unix commands to administer and troubleshoot databases.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication abilities both in writing and speaking.
- willing to work around the clock.
- An additional benefit is familiarity with Oracle GoldenGate.
- It helps to be familiar with other databases like MSSQL, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- It is advantageous to have prior experience with scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
