Key duties:
- include keeping an eye on application operational performance and reliability metrics, identifying underlying causes through basic analysis, alerting the appropriate teams, and promoting solutions.
- To guarantee visibility into every facet of application performance and stability from a global and customer viewpoint, identify and publish the necessary KPIs.
- Establish Service Level Objectives (SLOs) that are suited to particular goods, services, and client needs.
- Create dashboards using Splunk and additional monitoring tools, configure alerts to track defined metrics and SLOs over time, and report infractions.
- Implement automation solutions to enhance or decrease downtime, and provide and document Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for maintenance and production outages.
- Write automation code for testing solutions, failover solutions, infrastructure requirements, and failure mitigation procedures.
- Make that dashboards and alerts are up-to-date and functional while taking proactive measures to address events and alarms.
- Work together both individually and as a team to prioritize maintenance problems and production outages in order to ensure prompt resolution.
A bachelor’s degree or above in computer science or a comparable engineering discipline is required for eligibility.
Preferred Skills:
- Mastery of shell scripting, hardware performance optimization, scalability, networking/security concerns, and Linux/Windows fundamentals.
- familiarity with NoSQL databases, RDBMS (MSSQL, DB2), caching, queuing, and a basic understanding of firewalls and load balancers.
